Matteson’s abstract landscapes are vibrant, dramatic, and invite the viewer to observe the interaction of light, color, shape, pattern, and motion.  Gravure by Jorge Tristani
Originally from Puerto Rico, Tristani has experienced first-hand the Caribbean which is one of the last remaining places on earth worthy of the term “paradise.” Tristani’s color saturated multi-plate gravures record “Paradise” found in unexpected areas such as the Southwest, while at the same time comment on the gradual loss of some of those stunning places.
