Chris Casey: Abstract Vessels
Casey states, "With my pottery, I'm working primarily with colored underglaze (Think of it like ceramic paint) on smooth, white clay. I carve design into the underglaze to reveal the clay underneath-a technique known as "sgraffito technique produces crisp and clear lines. My designs are improvised. It's the part of the process that I enjoy the most."
