 Michael Norviel One Person Show at Sumner & Dene
Primarily painting the landscape and interiors of New Mexico, Michael's interiors are reminiscent of Henri Matisse filled with an amazing blanket of color and pattern while the floral landscapes capture the intense richness of color and movement of the southwest horizon. A graduate of the Boston Art Institute and Harvard School of Medical Illustration, Michael spent much of his life running the Medical Illustration Department at the UNM School of Medicine. His medical illustrations are in many books, articles and papers give or take 250 or more. Lucky for us he is retired from medical illustration and is devoting all is time to his painting.
