Tortando Pasos Ajenos: Social Justice and Inequalities in the Borderlands
The exhibit focuses on social justice with 11 interactive educational installments designed to appeal to a wide audience that focus on regional issues of justice inequality as they pertain to identity, environment, history, immigration, law, and faith. It also provides an opportunity to come together for an interactive experience that promotes awareness and comprehension of these issues. Understanding these issues helps our community arrive at ways to lessen inequalities and their consequences – especially in the borderlands. We invite you to explore a series of regional social justice topics, create a dialogue, and approach these topics with a new understanding.

Native Voices: Native Peoples’ Concepts of Health and Illness
Native Voices examines how wellness and illness interconnect with cultural life. Stories drawn from both past and present examine how the determinants of health for American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians are tied to community, the land, and spirit. Through interviews, Native People describe the impact of epidemics, federal legislation, the loss of land, and the inhibition of culture on the health of Native individuals and communities today. The exhibition showcases interviews with Native people and interactive media.
