2014 Studio Tours in New Mexico

Studio tours offer opportunities to meet artists, see their working studios, and get into a creative environment that is not usually open to the public. The tours are free and there are often added attractions such as refreshments, food, and/or music.

Corrales Art Studio Tour

Placitas Studio Tour

Eldorado Studio Tour

Showcases 90 professional artists and artisans in Eldorado at Santa Fe. The tour features works in a wide variety of media, including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, digital images, mixed media, recycled art, woodworking, ceramics, glass, jewelry, fiber, and wearable art. The Preview Gallery is open May 3-16 from 12pm-6pm, May 17-18 from 9am-5pm, and for the Artists’ Reception on May 16 from 5-7pm. Tour Hours are 10am-5pm on May 17-18.www.eldoradoarts.org

Lincoln County Art Loop Studio Tour

Features Lincoln County artists whose private studios are open to the public. Art includes glass, pottery, painting, jewelry, weaving, designer knit clothing, basketry, art dolls, sculpture, wood-turning & china painting. Alameda Studio Tour

More than 20 professional artists in the Alameda area are excited to share their works and studios with you on this tour. You can visit the studios to see blown and stained glass, painting in many mediums, jewelry, recycled art, photography, mosaics, printmaking, mixed media, and pottery, as well as visiting a fine chocolatier and alpaca and llama farms, where wool is spun and woven into wearable art. www.alamedastudiotour.com

Pojoaque River Art Tour

Annual art tour of studios in pueblos & along County Rd 84 through Pojoaque, Jacona, Jaconita, & El Rancho, with contemporary & traditional paintings, monotypes, Sumi-e, photography, sculpture, furniture, ironwork, weaving, jewelry, pottery & retablos. 16 miles north of Santa Fe off Hwy 285/84 & Hwy 502 to Los Alamos. Abiquiu Studio Tour

The range and quality of the artworks, the spectacular landscape, and the welcoming atmosphere have made the Abiquiú Studio Tour one of the most well-attended and successful events of its kind. Red Dot Art Weekend

Galisteo Studio Tour

More than 30 artists open their studios for a weekend of art touring. Work in all media from painting, pottery, and photography to jewelry, prints, and weavings. From Santa Fe, take I-25 north toward Las Vegas, exit 290 for Highway 285 south, approximately 5 miles to state highway 41. www.galisteostudiotour.org

October 25-26
Las Vegas Art Studio Tour

Sponsored by the Las Vegas Arts Council (LVAC), this tour has 40 stops including individual artist/artisan studios (painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, photography, mixed media and more); New Mexico Highlands University visits to media arts, fine arts studios and foundry; United World College USA art studio visit; traditional Spanish Colonial art, youth art, street art, and quilters exhibits; local galleries. November 1-2
Annual Dixon Studio Tour

Over 40 artists and businesses participating. Artwork in a wide variety of media including paintings, prints, metalwork, jewelry, papier mache, ceramics, photography, weaving, and more.
