When visiting the Deborah Gold Gallery on Canyon Road in Santa
Fe, viewers can immediately perceive the soul of a master
painter whose impressionist vision brings forth her individual
style, which combines spontaneity with a unique sensibility to
the poetry of her outdoor observations.
Deborah Gold records her travels from France, Italy and Japan
and her enjoyment of Santa Fe and the Southwest in paintings distinguished
by luscious and vibrant colors which capture so well the essence
of the landscapes, garden scenes, street scenes, floral and water
vistas she paints.
Deborah Gold is not only considered the most important American
impressionist artist in Santa Fe, but also has received wide recognition
by collectors the world over.
Born and educated in New York City, Deborah Gold came to Santa
Fe in the late 1980s and in 1990 opened her first studio/gallery
on Canyon Road. Her past ten years of hard work and dedicated commitment
to her work have brought her wide acclaim. Deborah Gold has become
one of the most appreciated artists in Santa Fe, keeping the Canyon
Road tradition of excellence very much alive.
In 2001, in addition to her paintings, Deborah Gold will introduce
her new series of bronze sculptures, "The Dancers", reinventing
the great tradition of romantic and impressionist sculptures where
movement, texture, form and expressivity are so attractive to the
eyes.
