Established in 1988, Green River Pottery encompasses the studio and gallery of ceramist Theo Helmstadter. Housed in a renovated mercantile store front on the scenic High Road to Taos,
the gallery is a popular stop for visitors and locals alike.

'Green River' isn't a type or style of pottery; the name simply evokes the perpetual flow and inspiration that an object of beauty brings to one's daily life. All the pottery is functional stoneware: food safe and kitchen-safe, made to be lived with, loved, put to use, and encountered again and again for the first time.
