Deborah’s noteworthy accomplishments include:
• In 2002, after only studying oil painting for two years, Deborah had one of her pieces accepted into the Oil Painters of America 11th Juried Art Show, and one piece accepted into the Salmagundi Art Club for their 25th Annual Juried Exhibition for Nonmembers.
• In 2002, Deborah was represented by her first gallery, Landmark Gallery (formerly Jackson-Kirkland Fine Art).
• In 2005, four of Deborah’s paintings were displayed in the Las Campanas home that subsequently won the Annual Santa Fe Grand Hacienda Parade of Homes Award. A photograph of one of the paintings titled “Bobcat Bite” is on display at that famous eating spot.
• Since 2005, Deborah’s work has been exhibited for sale at Patrician Design in Albuquerque, NM. Patrician Design has displayed her work at group shows it hosted benefitting Casa Esperanza and the New Mexico Humane Society. In addition, Patrician Design has shown Deborah’s work in other venues, such as at the Art Scrawl as well as at the kick-off for the Road Runner rail system connecting Albuquerque to Santa Fe. Patrician Design has advertised and displayed photographs of Deborah’s work in the Collector’s Guide 2006-2007, 2007-2008, and 2008-2009.
• In 2006, one of Deborah’s painting titled “Garlic Large and Small” was shown at the 2006 International Small Works Exhibition held at Red Dot Fine Art located on Canyon Road in Santa Fe.
• During 2006, Deborah’s oil paintings were displayed for sale by Tucker Woods Fine Art, also located on Canyon Road in Santa Fe.
• In 2006, Deborah’s painting titled “Late Summer Flowers” was sold at auction during the Quick Draw/Art Roundup benefitting the Taos Center for the Arts.
• From 2007 to 2011 (until they went out of business) Posters of Santa Fe, located on the historic Plaza, displayed for sale prints and cards of Deborah’s original oil paintings.
• In 2007, Deborah’s painting titled “Rebirth of Old 92” was shown in the Broken and Repaired juried art show held at the Rift Gallery in Rinconada, New Mexico.
• Since 2007, El Rancho de las Golondrinas has displayed for sale cards of Deborah’s original oil paintings of this historic site.
• In 2008 (and 2006), Deborah’s work was displayed at the Faces of Women juried art show hosted by the Las Vegas Arts Council (LVAC). Her painting entitled “Carol at the Palace of Governors” was featured on the 2008 LVAC post card mailings and the cover of their newspaper advertising that show. Deborah’s painting of her daughter Leah titled “Princess Leah” won Honorable Mention at the 2008 show.
• In 2008 (and 2006), Deborah’s paintings were shown at the 17th (and 15th) Annual National Art Exhibition sponsored by The Artist Association of Northern Colorado. Deborah’s painting titled “Talaya’s Cat” was awarded Honorable Mention.
• In 2008, Deborah’s oil painting titled “Stream Crossing” was accepted into the Master Works of New Mexico juried art show in Albuquerque.
• Since 2005, Deborah’s oil paintings have been accepted at the Encantada juried art show held annually by The Rio Grande Art Association in Albuquerque.
• Since 2008, a print of Deborah’s oil painting titled “Doc” has been displayed at the Plaza Bakery on San Francisco Street in Santa Fe.
• Since 2003 (with the exception of 2004), Deborah has participated in the City of Santa Fe Arts Commission Poster Contest, with her work being displayed at City Hall. (2010 the venue for the Poster Contest was changed from City Hall to the Santa Fe Convention and Visitors Bureau.)
• In 2008-2009, Deborah’s painting titled “Doc” appeared on the cover of the Temple Beth Shalom Calendar as best representing the theme: Santa Fe Different, Diverse and Delicious. The Temple’s 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 calendars also displayed Deborah’s work.
• In 2009, Deborah’s painting entitled “Twilight Moon” was chosen for a poster to advertise the juried art show “Impressionism in New Mexico” sponsored by the Art Center at Fuller Lodge in Los Alamos. Deborah’s painting “Tae’s Glass Bowl II” was accepted into the juried art show “Still Life Revisited” also sponsored by the Art Center at Fuller Lodge.
• In 2009, Deborah's painting “Self Portrait” was accepted into the New Mexico Art League’s 80th Anniversary Fine Art Show, in Albuquerque. Deborah's painting along with paintings by three other artists, was featured on the NMAL post card and website to advertise the show.
• In 2009, Deborah’s painting “ Eucalyptus and Red Onions” was accepted into the Oil Painters of America’s 2009 “Western Regional Juried Exhibition of Traditional Oils” held at the Howard/Mandville Gallery in Kirkland, Washington.
• 2010 Deborah was accepted into two juried art shows hosted by the Jenny Coolie Gallery, 826 Canyon Road, Santa Fe: Deborah’s painting entitled, “Boo: Ghosts of Christmas Past” was in the Christmas juried art show. Her painting entitled “Safe Sox” was shown in the “Hot Monkey Love” show, which can be viewed on YouTube.
• 2010 Patrician Design featured Deborah as the artist at its “Sidewalk Sale”, where she demonstrated oil painting, and displayed her miniature landscape, still life oil paintings, and cards of her original oil paintings.
• 2010 Deborah participated in an art show and sale hosted by Temple Beth Shalom in Santa Fe.
• 2010 Two of Deborah’s paintings were accepted into the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico juried art show, entitled “Spirit of the Place”, shown at the Millicent Rogers Museum, Taos, NM.
• 2010 Deborah participated in one juried art show and one gift shop Holiday sale hosted by the Northern New Mexico Regional Art Center, located on the Plaza de Espanola, New Mexico.
• 2011 Deborah’s oil painting entitled “Autumn Ascending” was accepted into the juried art show Outside In at the Fuller Lodge Art Center, in Los Alamos, NM. The Los Alamos Monitor (on Thursday, February 24 2011) used her painting "Autumn Ascending" to illustrate the article promoting the show.
• 2011 One of Deborah’s paintings, entitled “Plantasia” was accepted into the 20th National Exhibition and Sale, hosted by the Art Association of Northern Colorado, held at the Midtown Arts Center in Fort Collins, Colorado.
• 2011 Deborah was the featured artist at Patrician Design’s (Saturday) Sidewalk Sale April 30th, demonstrating oil painting and selling her oil paintings.
• 2011 Deborah’s oil painting “Camino Manzana” was selected for the cover of the “Hacienda Magazine” (Santa Fean/Parade of Homes) published Spring 2011. 15,000 copies of the magazine were issued. Deborah’s work was featured and advertised in the magazine.
• 2011 Pizzeria Espiritu has been displayed sixteen of Deborah’s oil paintings in a one-person show, at this Santa Fe restaurant.
• 2011 Deborah’s donated art work to both the New Mexico Art League and the Las Campanas Community Foundation for their silent auctions, to benefit the remodeling of the NMAL and community outreach projects respectively.
• 2011 Deborah displayed one painting, entitled “Common Ground” in the City of Santa Fe juried art show and exhibit at the Community Gallery.
•2011 Deborah displayed one painting, entitled “Cactus Flower” at the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico juried art show, “Land and Light” held at the Millicent Rogers Museum in Taos.
• 2011 Deborah’s painting “Self Portrait in Gray”, was awarded the New Mexico Art League Award, in addition to a cash prize. Two of Deborah’s oil paintings were accepted into this juried art show co-sponsored by both the Portrait Society of America and the New Mexico Art League, “Facing the Muse” held at the NMAL, in Albuquerque.
•2011 One of Deborah’s oil paintings was shown at “Encantada”, the juried art show hosted by the Rio Grande Art Association, held this year at the African American Performing Arts Center, Albuquerque.
